Getting to Know a Princess

Hi everyone! Bumblebee Kate here with another of our CT interviews. Today we're Getting To Know our other CT lead Star, or as she's known around digi-land as Starlight-Princess.

This is the only (and biggest) pictures I could find of Star. She's a bit elusive!

Let's read what she had to tell us about herself!

What can you share with us about your life?
Oh where do I start. I'm from Ireland and I love to scrap. I also paper craft and make cards. I am currently a full time student

How long have you been scrapping and what got you interested in scrapping?
I have been scrapping for about 9 months. My cousin printed a page for me as a gift and that got me interested. A few weeks later I got Photoshop and I have been seriously hooked since.

Where do you get your design ideas from?
From everywhere really. The colours in a photo or I get a lot of inspiration from looking through the galleries. I also like to stick to what I know I will like even if this leads to some of my pages loooking the same lol.

What do you do when you have a creative block?
A good friend on a digiscrap board once gave me the great advice that when you've lost your mojo take a break from the computer and eat some choc and that has always worked for me lol. Another way is I usually use a template to get the juices flowing again.

Do you listen to music while you design? What’s playing at your house lately?
Yes I listen to music all the time. When designing I put my itunes on my scrapping playlist and just let it play. At the moment I am loving Rihanna's album, Adele's album and as always Taylor Swift is a constant on my playlist.

Do you have any other hobbies or interests?
I am a dance teacher and I love it. I also love to read at the moment I'm re reading the last Harry Potter book in preparation for the final film lol. I am also a scout leader and love to camp. My other interests would have to be travel. I love seeing new places and cultures and trying new foods.

What do you do to relax and have fun?
I scrap, spend time with family and friends and usually take a long bath lol

What would you describe as your perfect day?
Oh a perfect dream day would be....
Spent with my family and friends in Disneyworld Florida, then all go to The Cheesecake Factory for dinner and then just relax on the flight home with a good Jodi Picoult Book.

Bumblebee Christy asks: What’s your favorite snack?
Ohhhh, probably as bad as it is for me Pb and J. Just because its so quick and yummy lol Other snacks I love are Cereal, Subway, Mac and Cheese and Fresh Fruit.

What’s your favorite LO you’ve ever done?
It would prob be this one as I love the photo and the template and the kit are great.

Getting to know a Scrapaholic!

Hey everyone! Bumblebee Kate here with another edition of Getting To Know... Today we're getting to know Julie, aka Julie-Scrapaholic. She is one of Jumbbumble Designs' CT leaders and a great scrapper! Let's read what she had to say.

**This is the Bee-yutiful Julie!**

What can you share with us about your life?

I have had my ups and downs like everyone does, but since finding my new husband of two years now, and finding Digital Scrapping, I could not be happier. Things are still really tough for me right now, but I just get on the computer and start to create, and it just totally relaxes me and helps me forget everything. I am lucky that my husband puts up with all my computer time, and my Daughter has her own laptop and is away a college anyway. So I get lots of scrapping done.

How long have you been scrapping and what got you interested in scrapping?

I have been scrapping for well over 10 years now, but not all those years have been digital. I started paper scrapping when I saw a friend's album of her daughters who danced with my daughter. My first album I made was just of my daughter's dance photos. When money got tight, shopping for paper supplies was limited, and I just started to look online and by accident I came across digital scrapping. I have always been into altering my photos and playing with them, so this was an easy transition for me, and the cost savings was what I loved the most. All my paper stuff has been sold, and for the last four years I have been totally digital.

What do you do when you have a creative block?

Walk away from the computer for a little bit and read some magazines to get inspired. If that doesn't do the trick, then I go through galleries to get some inspiration. Sometimes it takes a few days to get me going again, and other times I can sleep on it and something will come to me the next day.

Do you listen to music while you scrap? What’s playing at your house lately?

Always. iTunes is forever playing in the background. It's totally a mix of music, from jazz, to pop rock, to rap, to Classical. I like it all. Right now as I type this I have Katy Perry playing

Do you have any other hobbies or interests?

Photography and the desire to finally learn how to cook.

Bumblebee Mira asks: What are some of your favorite TV shows?

NCIS, Grey's Anatomy, Private Practice, Bones, Warehouse 13, True Blood and a whole lot more. I DVR a lot, but somehow never get to watch them all.

What do you do to relax and have fun?

Read. I love to curl up with a good book. Love also grabbing my camera and just going for a walk and taking photos. Weather permitting of course.

What would you describe as your perfect day?

Not waking up till, oh like 11am. Having my BIG cup of coffee, and just scrapping away at the computer ALL DAY!!!! Of course if hubby is home, which, with him traveling for work he is not home all the time, then the perfect day would be doing anything with him.

Oh now this is so easy....Double Stuffed Oreo Cookies

Bumblebee Star wonders what your favorite scented candle smell is?

Vanilla or Lavender

What’s your favorite Jumbbumble kit?

I like them all, as I think Melanie is majorly talented, but my favorite so far is Flower Power. Grew up in the 70's, so it remains me of those younger days.

What’s your favorite LO you’ve ever done?

Getting to know the Queen Bee

Hey everyone! Bumblebee Kate here with a great feature we're going to have! Every week or so, we're going to get to know a member of the Jumbbumble Design CT team. Who better to start with than the Queen Bee herself, our designer, Melanie!

(She's gorgeous, isn't she?!)

Q: What can you share with us about your life?

A: I am a 28-year-old woman living in the Netherlands with my 8-year-old son, Jamie. I love to dance and listen to music. I also love going out to dinner or cooking with friends. I LOVE sushi!

Q: How long have you been scrapping and what got you interested in scrapping?
A: I never paper scrapped, but I was always working on the PC with PSP and SC making tags and animations and writing up tutorials about those Then I found out about digiscrapping through a friend of mine and fell in love with it! I started as a CT member and after a few months I started designing my own stuff.

Q: Where do you get your design ideas from?
A: Things I really like, like music or sometimes I see a color at a special event.

Q: What do you do when you have a creative block?

A: I look around in galleries to get inspirations or ask my fantastic Bees what they would like to see.

Q: Do you listen to music while you design? What’s playing at your house lately?

A: Yes, I am always am listening to music! What I’m really loving at the moment is a lot of reggeaton and R&B, but that changes by the moment! I really love ALL kinds of music.

Q: Do you have any other hobbies or interests?

A: I like to hike, dance, and cook.

Q: What are some of your favorite TV shows?
A: GTST is a Dutch soap like As The World Turns
Glee -- the music is so good!

A: Scrap something . Bake with my son or take a walk in nature.

Q: What would you describe as your perfect day?

A: A day at the beach with my son and boyfriend with nice weather, a cocktail, maybe a good book, and LOTS of good food!

A: M&Ms. I would really love to have some pink ones! I like with or without peanuts.
And a big fat burger! With cheese and bacon!

Charity collab

March 14-20, 2011 is National Multiple Sclerosis Awareness week, and in honor of that, 34 designers got together to create a mega-kit called "Movement" and even more Creative Team designers got together to create matching QPs and Templates.
MS stops people from moving, and we're raising money to make sure that doesn't happen.
